Cookie Policy
Effective Date: September 19, 2026 | Version 2.1
01.Introduction & Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how ApexCal SaaS ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, Web Storage (Local Storage and Session Storage), and similar browser technologies when you access our appointment scheduling platform, admin dashboards, and public booking portals.
We believe in total privacy transparency. ApexCal uses browser storage primarily to maintain secure user sessions and remember your active branch settings. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies.
02.What Technologies We Use
HTML5 Local Storage (`localStorage`)
Used on client browsers to store authenticated session tokens (`apexcal_token` / `token`) and current organization/branch preferences. This allows you to remain logged in between browser restarts without transmitting credentials on every request.
Essential HTTP-Only Session Cookies
Small encrypted tokens sent via HTTPS headers to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) and validate active administrative sessions against the backend API.
03.Inventory of Browser Storage Keys
| Key Name | Storage Type | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| apexcal_token | Local Storage | JWT bearer token for authenticated dashboard API calls. | Until sign out / 7 days |
| apexcal_active_branch | Local Storage | Remembers the active branch filter for multi-location tenants. | Persistent |
| apexcal_theme | Local Storage | UI theme preference (dark/light mode). | Persistent |
| admin_token | Session / Local | Super Admin temporary verification token for platform monitoring. | Session only |
04.Third-Party Cookies & Tracking
ApexCal does not load third-party ad retargeting trackers (such as Facebook Pixel, Google AdSense, or data-broker beacons).
When making payments via Stripe, Stripe may utilize necessary fraud prevention and security tokens to verify payment authenticity in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
05.How to Manage or Clear Browser Storage
You can control and delete local storage data directly through your browser settings:
- Google Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Cookies and data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
06.Contact & Privacy Inquiries
For further questions about our use of storage technologies, please review our Privacy Policy or contact our data protection desk:
